Review - Silky Smooth Crystal Hair Removal Pads

Easy Crystal Hair Removal

There are so many ways to remove hair that it's hard to choose one - or decide which one is best. You can choose from wax, laser, electrolysis, creams, razors and many more.

In recent years many of these types of hair removals have come under fire because of a variety of reasons.

Often practitioners have little training or are removing hair incorrectly, resulting in scarring or pain for the recipient.

I'm personally a cynic. If someone says something is cheap and easy - I usually find they're lying.

But the crystal hair removal system seems to be one of the few exceptions.

Read on for more information about this great new product!

Top Reasons Why Traditional Ways Aren't Great

There are many ways to remove hair, however some of them have major problems:

  • Razors - using a razor to remove hair can hurt the skin, cause rashes and also gives the fastest hair regrowth rate.
  • Electrolysis - this can hurt the skin and can also be quite expensive if done professionally. Do it yourself versions don't always achieve the same results.
  • Wax - using wax to remove hair can be quite painful, especially when the wax is too hot.
  • Laser - often laser hair removal can result in bad burns to the recipient.
  • Creams - some people are allergic to creams and many of them contain strong ingredients that can cause rashes, as well as often smelling very bad.

My Experience

I personally have always been a shaver. Everything else is either too expensive, too painful or just has too many scary stories attached to it.

Of course shaving can be very annoying since hair starts to regrow within a day or two. However my husband ordered the Silky Smooth hair removal pads for me and I tried them. They're actually pretty good!

Ok so I hadn't shaved in a few weeks - it's winter, my legs aren't on show! So I tried one of the pads out on my leg.

The good news:

  • Doesn't hurt at all.
  • Feels soft and smooth after.
  • No chance of nicks or scratches.
  • Can be used anywhere - bikini line, top lip or legs.
  • Can be done dry - you don't need any shaving cream, wax or potions.

The bad news:

  • It isn't quick - takes a little while.
  • You need to trim any long hair. The less hair, the faster removal (but this can be said of other hair removal methods too.)
  • You'll need to regularly replace the pads. However some stores offer free replacement pads if you pay shipping and handling.
  • Can leave skin feeling a bit dry - a bit of moisturiser will fix this however.

The Stats & How It Works

The pads that come with the set have fine crystals on them that remove the hair as you rub them over the skin. It can take 5-10 rubs but it does work.

The skin feels soft and smoother afterwards.

Unlike normal methods the crystal hair removal system is painless and suits most skin types.

The hair doesn't grow back for up to a week or more (varies on skin and hair type and thickness).

The more you do it, the less hair will regrow (similar to electrolysis.)

Where to buy one.

You can buy the crystal hair removal pads for less than $20 either online or at many larger stores.

I hate soft n' silky hair removal system 2 weeks ago

I went to the after hours Dr's clinic today because of this product. All it is is sandpaper. I have burns on my armpits that burn like fire. It made my arm shake because the pain was so bad. I now have a dr bill because of this bad product. They gave me steroid pills and told me to use advil and hydrocortisone cream. The cream brings on more burning pain. *****DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT.******
